Leadership Team Meeting Minutes from Monday November 10th. Members present: Marian Garcia, Linda Blake, Brian Eberhard, Marcia Stivanson , Heidi Abele, Jean Villa, Jordan Balba, Jay Wilson, Mo Garcia, Jodi Madden, Dean Cheatham, George Carr, Cheryl Breidenbach, and Lori Comshaw.
George briefly explained the hand out of Aiken Pickleball which included the mission statement, organization chart, responsibilities of members, etc. Then the ballots for the new API Board Members were handed out along with bio data of the individuals that were nominated. Ballots were collected and tallied. New board members are Jordyn Balba, Rochelle Bergen, Dean Cheatham, Nichol Gregory and Chrissa Matthews.
Toys for Tots will be held December 13. Mike Howard is handling this event again, as he has done for several years now.
Freaky Fridays in October was a success. Everyone enjoyed the clinic and net play. The drawings for paddles and lessons will still be a part of this event; however, pizza/snacks are not needed.
The League has two weeks left and will help with the Toys for Tots and Food Harvest.
MOU - George is working on a revision to the MOU so that API will be able to use OW meeting rooms as requested and not be charged. George stated that a meeting with new board members and the City would be appropriate.
Lori explained why the restrooms at OW are closed. They are building new bathrooms so that there will be dedicated indoor bathrooms for the OW facility and dedicated outdoor bathrooms for those that are outside on the pickleball courts, playground, walking track, etc. The contract was to be finished by December 1, so hopefully that will happen!
Mo thanked George and team for their time, effort and dedication to API. All wholeheartedly agreed.
