Want to thank everyone that made tonights Groovy Tuesday a huge success - Especially Harve for putting it all together - Mo and the gang that assisted with the drills - Marian and her group that provided the pizza & drinks - and Christy for her delicious brownies. This was the first of four Groovy Tuesdays being held in April in celebration of National Pickleball Month. Thanks guys - your efforts much appreciated.

Aiken Pickleball Inc.  is hosting a New Players Clinic indoors at the Gregg Park Civic Center on Saturday, October 26th, for people new to the game of pickleball.  Schedule as follows:

830 -9am - Check-in at front desk

9 -10am - Clinic Instruction

10-11am - Practice Play

Clinic will include court setup, proper court position, an explanation of the “kitchen”, how to keep score, how to make the transition from tennis and other racquet sports to pickleball and much more.  Please wear tennis shoes and bring something to drink.  We will supply balls and paddles. Players must register and pay in advance which can be done online at GreggParkonline.com or at the Gregg Park Civic Cen terCost is $10 per person.   Non-members are welcome to attend but will be required to pay a $10 daily facility fee. 

Attendees will also be invited to attend a free New Players Practice session normally a week later.   Non-members of Gregg Park will still be required to pay the GP $10 daily admittance fee.

 

 

 

 

 

Mike Howard will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots and Golden Harvest on Saturday - December 13th -  between 12-3pm at the outdoor pickleball courts at Virginia Acres Park.  Requesting  donations of canned food items for Golden Harvest and or a new unwrapped toy in support of Toys for Tots for the Christmas holiday.  

One ticket will be given to each person who donates five canned food items - three tickets for ten cans or more - and/or a toy - which will allow that person a chance to win "Pickleball With a Purpose" T-shirts with logos (Toys For Tots & Golden Harvest) and/or a new Friday pickleball paddle with cover per drawings to be completed during the event.  You do not have to be present to win. All fourteen courts will be OPEN PLAY.   -
